Phenomenon Art Exhibition by Suparerk Nammontree
Suparerk Nammontree (Kajohn), born and raised in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, works with painting and photography to explore the emotional ties between memory, nature, and place. Much of his inspiration comes from the shifting landscapes along the “Noi” River in his hometown—the still canals, wide rice fields, roadside trees, and everyday rural life that quietly change over time.
One of his early works, Nostalgia, a large-scale landscape painting created during a year of heavy flooding, marked the beginning of an ongoing exploration of nature’s unpredictability. From moments of stillness to sudden disruption, Suparerk became drawn to natural “phenomena”—events that unfold abruptly and leave lasting impressions.
In this series, he moves beyond realism, using marks, lines, and color to express the emotional atmosphere of these moments. His paintings blur the line between clarity and abstraction, mirroring the way memory works—sometimes vivid, sometimes uncertain. The result invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences and find meaning in the changing rhythms of nature.
