SUMMARY:Chiang Mai Art Connecting (CMAC)
DESCRIPTION:An Ongoing Movement of Art and Exchange \nLaunched in late 2019\, Chiangmai Art Connecting (CMAC) began as an extension of Hanoi Art Connecting\, founded by Trinh Tuan of Asian Art Link (AAL). Initiated by La Luna Gallery as part of its founding vision\, CMAC-I aimed to create a platform for artists across Southeast Asia to explore shared creativity and express complex emotions through visual language—often saying what words cannot. \nIn its inaugural edition\, 19 artists came together\, supported by AAL\, Bluechips Microhouse\, and La Luna Gallery. Workshops and collaborative art-making set the tone for what would become a recurring international initiative. However\, just as the project was gaining momentum\, the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world—and CMAC—to a pause. \nIn September 2020\, amidst ongoing restrictions\, La Luna Gallery hosted “Reconnecting”\, a local exhibition that revived CMAC’s core purpose: fostering human connection through art. The original CMAC-I collection continued to be shown in rotation\, keeping the spirit of exchange alive. \nWith global conditions improving\, CMAC-II returned in 2023 under the theme “How the World Changed After the Pandemic.” This edition welcomed 35 artists from Southeast Asia\, East Asia\, South Asia\, and parts of Europe\, expanding both the scope and impact of the project. Alongside exhibitions\, lacquer painting demonstrations by AAL members deepened CMAC’s commitment to traditional craft and cultural sharing. \nFollowing overwhelmingly positive feedback and increased engagement from artists and visitors alike\, the organizing team—AAL\, Bluechips Microhouse\, La Luna Gallery\, and Art Connecting—announced plans for CMAC-III\, scheduled for November 2025. From this edition forward\, CMAC will adopt a biennial format\, continuing to bring artists together under evolving themes that spark dialogue\, collaboration\, and cross-cultural understanding.

SUMMARY:Transformation: The ever changing Era Solo Exhibition by Rungsak Dokbua
DESCRIPTION:Rungsak’s abstract art carries a distinct identity—one shaped by form\, concept\, and a deep personal connection to the times in which it was created. While the themes shift with cultural and emotional currents\, his style remains unmistakably his own\, evolving over the years without losing its core. \nEach body of work reflects the artist’s response to new ideas\, personal feelings\, and the broader issues that shape public attention. His paintings are rooted in the present\, yet grounded in a lifetime of exploration\, technique\, and commitment to the creative process. \nFor Rungsak\, art-making is a continual rhythm—a way of life shaped by discipline\, curiosity\, and the desire to create work that resonates. This exhibition invites viewers into that process\, encouraging an open dialogue between artist and audience\, where aesthetics are shared\, questioned\, and reimagined without boundaries.

SUMMARY:Faith Creates Art: Longing for the Traces of Ancestors by Archan Khunarup
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the deep-rooted beliefs of the Lanna tradition\, Archan Khunarup’s contemporary paintings reflect a dialogue between past and present. Through depictions of rituals\, spiritual practices\, and everyday life\, his work explores the enduring faith that has shaped local identity across generations. \nAs modernization accelerates\, the distinctive heritage of Lanna art and painting faces quiet erasure. In response\, this series becomes both an act of preservation and a call to awareness—inviting viewers to reflect on what has been passed down and what might still be reclaimed. \nEach piece encourages a moment of stillness and recognition: a way to honor the beauty and meaning embedded in ancestral wisdom\, and to carry it forward with renewed understanding.

SUMMARY:The invisible Hand: Solo Exhibition by Plub Boonsuan
DESCRIPTION:This series of mixed-media works explores the unseen states that exist beyond the physical world. Using the hand as a recurring symbol\, the artist reflects on the human body as a vessel for thought\, presence\, and meaning—bridging the internal and external. \nEach piece investigates the impact of environment\, social roles\, and personal responsibility on individual consciousness. Through layered textures and abstract forms\, the artworks reveal how these forces shape identity and perception\, both visibly and invisibly. \nThe result is a visual meditation on interconnectedness—how every action\, thought\, and experience leaves its mark\, forming a complex web between self and society.

SUMMARY:Duo Art Exhibition by Siriwat Siriwannaphruk and Athip Klomtong
DESCRIPTION:Explore Life in Fragility Through Paintings and Sculptures Bearing the Traces of TimeBy Siriwat Siriwannaphruk and Athip Klomtong \nThis duo exhibition brings together mixed media works that explore the quiet tension of living within fragile and shifting environments. Through painting and sculpture\, the artists reflect on the visible and invisible constraints that shape everyday life—structures that feel unstable\, undefined\, and often impermanent. \nA central motif in the exhibition is the “wall”—not just as a physical barrier\, but as a silent witness. It becomes a surface marked by time\, holding the traces of love\, dreams\, loss\, and memory. Over time\, its cracks speak: revealing hidden stories\, long buried and slowly resurfacing. \nSiriwat’s sculptural works use found objects\, non-permanent materials\, and line drawings to express the delicate balance of life in uncertain spaces. These pieces\, though lacking solidity\, remain self-supporting—mirroring the resilience of those navigating instability\, both social and personal. \nAthip’s paintings\, on the other hand\, blur the line between past and present. His textured surfaces capture fleeting moments and enduring imprints\, suggesting that while time moves forward\, the echoes of what once was are never truly erased. \nTogether\, the works invite viewers to pause and consider what remains—despite the passing of time.
